It Feels Like Failing

Nobody warned me that meditation would feel like failing at first. You sit down, your brain goes everywhere, and you wonder why anyone does this. What they don't tell you is that the brain going everywhere and you noticing it is exactly the thing you came to practice.
It may not feel like progress, but the scattered, restless moments are where meditation actually begins. You are strengthening your ability to stay present each time you notice your mind and come back.
